Ward 13 Candidate meet & greet

On Tuesday, August 14 we had the good fortune of having a number of candidates from Ward 13 and Ward 4 meet the neighbourhood at the beautiful new SKYE Health offices on Maitland. It was fairly informal, consisting of the opportunity for personal introductions and Q&A.

One of the key elements of concern discussed was petty crime and safety. This is of no surprise, if you follow our Facebook group, and it was valuable to tell future Councillors in person and hear their and perspectives.

Don’t miss this year’s Piccadilly Porch Concert!

Coming soon to our neighbourhood is the 2nd Annual Piccadilly Porch Concert!

Porch Concert

On Sunday, August 26, we’ll have three talented performers for what is sure to be another amazing evening.

The music will be starting at 7pm, but feel free to arrive anytime after 6 to grab a prime seat and mingle. The show is free, but donations for both the neighbourhood association and the artists are welcome.

What would make our neighbourhood better?

Public art?
A community garden?
An event?
Park benches?
Historic Signs?
Play or exercise equipment?
A neighbourhood hub?

If you have a great idea that would strengthen Piccadilly Area – or anywhere in the downtown core – submit it at

The deadline to submit your idea is May 22. The City of London will work with you to formalize your idea and give it an appropriate budget.

On June 16, the whole city will come out to vote on the ideas they like the best!

The downtown core has $50,000 available to fund the ideas chosen!
